In today’s article I would love to talk to you about what does color of your clothes can say about you. I think most of you agree with me that sometimes it is hard to change first impression we make on others like a potential future employer, your first date and ect).

This is why it is very important to take in to consideration that what style of clothes we decide to wear on certain occasion and even color of the clothes can play a big role on making an impression we want to leave.

Did you know that colors in general can set us and people around us on certain mood knowingly or sometimes unknowingly so this is why we should pay big attention to what color we choose while creating our image and what impression we would leave behind.

Black color

One of the most popular colors. We all have black in our wardrobe. For example black classic trousers , black suit, black skinny jeans and of course famous classic little black dress. Black color is a great choice for an evening dress it also a basic color for business wardrobe and must have for every day look. Black is a great choice to create an elegant business look . Black color is a symbol of a strong disciplined person who has the will to succeed. But keep in mind that black dominance in your wardrobe can describe a totally different picture. A picture of a person who is closed up and want to isolate themselves from the outside world.

Red color

Along with the positive values of red color such as joy, love, majesty and beauty it is also a symbol of power, fearlessness and sometimes can even give an aggressive character or image. In the old days red color was used often by royalties, kings, in fact red clothing indicated persons in high positions. In the mean time, did you know that red can put people around you in an aggressive mood. This is a very strong color, so if you want to get attention you definitely should wear a red dress. In the red, you will not go unnoticed, but if you are planning on going for an interview I will not recommend you to wear a red outfit, it can suppress or even cause concern in the mind of your future employer. But if you plan to go to a party, festivals or any other special occasion then red is perfect color for these type of occasions. Also keep in mind that red color stimulates the appetite and has the property to raise blood pressure. Never the less if you decide to wear red color outfit remember that royal color outfit will demand a certain behavior I can even go as far as saying it will require a respectable classy behavior.

Green color

The owner of the wardrobe, which is dominated with green outfits can be described as a person who is open for friendship, able to listen and hear others. Woman in green always will be in the center of everyone’s attention. Green color symbolizes hope, freshness, tranquility, peace, stability, youth, harmony and life. Those of you who love to choose green color for everyday look can be described as people who are very cautious and will think twice before making decisions. People who love green outfits also can be characterized as a sociable and always ready to help others. This color would be a great choice if you want to create an image of a confident person.

White color

Keep in mind that when you decide to wear white color outfit you are creating an image of a person who have his own point of view. White color outfit can characterize a person like someone who is seeking attention and approval of others. In general this is calm color of balance. White symbolizes serenity, purity, truth, peace, and joy. Did you know that white color has an effect of calming people down. Nevertheless, white color could be a great choice if you want to create an elegant and fresh look.

Purple color

Purple – one of the most mysterious and deep colors. Purple color symbolizes wisdom and spirituality, this color by many considered as color of sadness and some people associate this color with depression. Those of you who love wearing purple color outfits can be described as a very sensitive and very vulnerable people. So if you want to create an impression of a serious and sober person then don’t wear purple color outfits, but if you want to create an image of a soft person then purple outfit will be a great choice.

Gray color

Nowadays, gray color don’t represent itself as a boring color, it can be color of luxury and elegance. You can create an elegant look simply by wearing a gray color clothing made of silk, satin or even velvet. Those of you who choose to dress in gray, has a delicate and chic taste. In addition, gray color is appreciated by many because of its practicality. Keep in mind that when you wear gray color it will give the people around you a positive feelings towards you and inner harmony, sense of comfort and relaxation. In my opinion this color could be a great choice not only for an office outfit but for an everyday look.

Yellow color

Yellow is a symbol of joy, sun, fun and celebration. The owner of the wardrobe dominated with yellow outfits can be described as a smart, positive and sensitive but yet strong and successful person who strive to achieve success in their careers. Yellow color may also indicate a subconscious desire for independence. So I will not recommend wearing yellow color outfit, for example, for an interview. Also keep in mind that not all people love an entire yellow look it can be too much for some, so for this reason it would be a good idea to mix yellow with other colors like gray, blue , black and ect.

Blue color

Blue color symbolizes peace and freedom, tenderness, loyalty, generosity and mystery.Did you know that blue color outfit can put you on a positive mood. Take into considerations that for some people light blue color symbolizes sadness, but as for the dark-blue color, it symbolize strong personality and can be a great choice for creating elegant and evening look. Dark blue also often is used in office setting and it has replaced black color in office wardrobes. Keep in mind that people in dark blue outfit leave an impression of intelligent, calm and balanced person who is responsible for their words and actions.
