The Best Apple Pie Recipe Ever
Good day everyone. I hope you all having a great week 🙂
In today’s post I would love to share the best apple pie recipe you have ever tried. If you are planning on to get together with friends & family this weekend  then this recipe can be a great choice for this occasion. Apple pie always has been one of my favorite desserts. What I love about this recipe is that it’s very easy to make but at the end result is a delicious apple pie that  your friends and loved ones will ask for it again and again,….lol 🙂
Ingredients
Crust
- Â 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 226 grm unsalted butter
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 8 tbsp ice water
Filling
- Â 6 green medium apples
- 100 grm walnuts
- Juice from half a lemon
- â…” cup white sugar
- 2 tbsp flour
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- ¼ tsp salt
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 tbsp milk
Mix flour, butter, salt, and sugar in a large saucepan until it looks like a crumbly mixture.
Start adding cold water spoon by spoon and continue mixing it until the mixture holds together
Form a ball then place it on saran wrap & put it in refrigerator for about 40 minutes until it cools off.
Cut apples in the small pieces and place in a bowl then add sugar, 2 tbsp flour, cinnamon, salt and lemon juice. Mix it well so all apple peaces coated evenly and let it sit for a while.
Preheat oven to 425 degrees F at the same time take mixture for a pie crust out of the fridge and wait 5-10 minutes until it comes back to room temperature. After that divide crust in two pieces, then on a floured surface roll a 12 inch circle and place in a pie pan. Make sure that the sides are pressed evenly.
Spread half of the apples evenly on the crust and then add a layer of walnuts over the apples and  then cover them with the rest of the apples.
After roll out the rest of dough and cut pieces to create the lattice top (apple pie Lattice top). Make sure that the edges of the bottom layer and top layer are pinched together and connected. Whisk the egg yolk and brush the top pie crust  with it so you end up with nice golden colour when baked.
Bake it approximately one hour until apples becomes soft and crust turns nice golden colour.
This delicious apple pie can be served with the ice cream of your choice. I personally love to serve this apple pie with vanilla ice cream.
Enjoy 🙂
